🎤 Origins: Moymoy Palaboy — brothers James Ronald (“Moymoy”) and Rodfil (“Roadfill”) Macasero from Pasay City — shot to fame in 2007 with homemade lip-sync videos filmed on a cellphone in their aunt’s home. Their hilarious clips often featured “Mama Auntie” in the background.
📺 Rise to Fame: Their viral YouTube hits — like “Everybody” (Backstreet Boys) and “MariMar” (Thalía) — racked up millions of views. By 2008, they were regulars on GMA Network’s Bubble Gang, kicking off a mainstream TV career.
🎶 Behind the Laughs: The duo’s real voices were initially hidden using pitch-shift effects, adding to the mystery. They later revealed their true voices, debuting as recording artists with Sony Music Philippines and releasing tracks like “Kapit” from the Dayo soundtrack.
